East gate of the Guillotine Stop Lock. The whole lock is a grade II* listed building. The bridge is Bridge number 1 over the Stratford on Avon Canal, a grade II listed building. |

Why? |
A stop lock is used at canal junctions to prevent the loss of water from one canal to the other. This is the only stop lock in England with guillotine gates. |
